Marimba Soundscapes is a peculiar and a revealing experience of the Marimba. Opening our senses to a new way of seeing this instrument in a live performance and challenging our sound perception boundaries when it comes to contemporary music for percussion keyboards. Marimba Soundscapes present a mixture of improvisation, electro-acoustics, live video and a persuasive music, full of color and sound.

After an extensive search and experimentation with the instrument through various improvisation methods, and taking into account our daily surroundings, new sounds have been discovered and created. Those sounds are not typically within our musical lexicon as Marimba players.

The creation of these new sounds together with the use of ordinary materials that are seen and approached from a completely  different perspective than their regular use, creates a new sonic universe for the Marimba.
